Delivering invitations gave the team an opportunity to see the "neighborhood",
mostly miles of sagebrush and sand connected by dirt roads. The roads are
mostly flat and straight, though, with virtually no traffic, so 50 miles per hour
is reasonable where the washboarding isn't too bad.
